Although he had to cheat lawyer for money that is used to obtain the happiness of his love. Thus, the lesson from this story is that we should be good at financial planning us toward those things that are beneficial. Let the money is properly planned so that the money available to be spent on worthwhile things. Act of cheating should be avoided. Therefore, we must be wise and clever in managing our own lives.

Essay --
Everything we need is in our daily life is based on demand and supply. The country is based on the effects of both demand and supply. Whenever demand is affected it lead to shortage of various needs that are in demand and whenever supply is affected it leads to shortage of supply in the countryââ¬â¢s economy. Moreover the things we need in our daily life is also affected on both demand and supply. Demand leads to the total quantity on goods or services that are needed to buy various commodities and supply is the quantity of goods and services business will make available to make profits. Thus in our daily life everything is based on the demand and supply from a small commodity to a large corporations. Moreover the companyââ¬â¢s shares or bonds are also based on the effect off demand and supply. Lower the demand will be the lower price of goods and services and vice-versa. And higher the supply will lead to high price of goods and services. Demand lowers supply in a simple case price of each and every commodity will be affected by demand and supply. Whenever the demand change it will lead to change in the taste of the customer and will lead to change in the taste of fashion for customers, also lead to change in price of related goods i.e goods are not related with each other thus they are of different taste of preference is different. Change in demand will lead to change in number of buyers of economy because when demand changes or exceeds it leads to increase in number of commodity and whenever demand lowers it leads to increase in prices of goods and services. For instance ââ¬â The price of canadaââ¬â¢s farmland is rising on strong demand so that this will increase the number of buyers for various reasons and there will be effect on price of va... ...ses, still moving ahead throughout some days so this increase the demand and supply issue to much extent as both are affected through same number of days with most of the important content with demand and supply related issues. After this we can also bring up after several years of back to back record settings gains. Some investment funds which have already been scaled back on the purchases and are still moving ahead but at a more cautious pace. Both demand and supply are now most important thing that constitutes the world of and economy as most of the economy is dependent upon the demand and supply affect but prices of farmland are rising on strong demand and supply effect. So in Canada now according to other countries demand of particular goods have been increased related to others in the economy. Thus price of demand and supply is related to price in the economy.

Black Feminist Theory Essay
Sula is Morrisonââ¬â¢s main character and is a perfect example of a Liberated woman. According to Lois Tysonââ¬â¢s definition of a Liberated Woman, Sula has ââ¬Å"discovered her abilities, knows what she needs, and goes about getting it. â⬠Along with all these activities, comes pride and independence. It began when Sula was younger as she had Nel, her best friend, by her side. ââ¬Å"In the safe harbor of each otherââ¬â¢s company they could afford to abandon the ways of other people and concentrate on their own perceptions of things,â⬠(55). Her friendship gave her the comfort to be herself and confident on acting on her own terms. Sula continued this attitude into adulthood but not everyone agreed with her actions towards getting what she wants. Sula leaves for 10 years to go to college and live her life beyond the Bottom. When she finally comes back, she and Eva get into an argument. Eva brings up her disappointment in Sula for not settling down with a family and Sula lashes back with, â⬠I donââ¬â¢t want to make somebody else. I want to make myself, â⬠(92). She displays her aversion to not have anyone dependent on her and she wants to only care for herself. Having a family and a husband, in her opinion, would stop her from getting what she wants or needs and would put herself second in her life. Sula doesnââ¬â¢t want to be tied down and oppressed by a man, she wants to be independent and sheââ¬â¢s not ashamed about being the only woman wanting her independence . When Nel finally confronts Sula about her affair with Jude, Nel accuses Sula of being proud but she responds with ââ¬Å"ââ¬ËWhat you talking about? I like my own dirt, Nellie. Iââ¬â¢m not proudââ¬â¢,â⬠(142). This shows how Nel, along with everyone in the bottom, thinks sheââ¬â¢s proud or conceded, but in actuality, sheââ¬â¢s just not ashamed of her decisions or life style. Lois Tyson continues the definition of a liberated woman with ââ¬Å"the ââ¬Ëliberated womanââ¬â¢ has already found herself and likes what she has found. â⬠When sula says ââ¬Å"I like my own dirtâ⬠she supports Tysonââ¬â¢s definition because Sula also ââ¬Å"likes what she has found. â⬠Sulaââ¬â¢s independence, and her pride in being so, fully supports Tysonââ¬â¢s complete definition of a Liberated Woman. Nelââ¬â¢s character fits into an Emergent Woman as she ââ¬Å"[comes] to an awareness of her own psychological and political oppresionâ⬠¦ usually through a harsh experience of initiation that makes her ready for change. â⬠On Nelââ¬â¢s trip to meet her grandmother, Nel witnesses her motherââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"custardâ⬠being revealed. From then on Nel ââ¬Å"resolved to be on guard- always. She wanted to make certain that no man ever looked at her that way. That no midnight eyes of marbled flesh would accost her and turn her into jellyâ⬠(22). Ashamed of the ââ¬Å"jellyâ⬠or the weak substance ââ¬Å"custardâ⬠that Morrison also associates with Helene, Nel makes certain that no man shall look at her, and make her into anything weak. In this secne, she becomes aware of her motherââ¬â¢s oppression and makes the decision to never allow it in her life. At the end of their trip, Nel lays in bed thinking about the possibility of ending up like her mother. To establish her independence separate from her mother, Nel states, â⬠Iââ¬â¢m me. Iââ¬â¢m not their daughter. Iââ¬â¢m not Nel. Iââ¬â¢m me. Me,â⬠(28). As an Emergent woman, she demonstrates her ability to make her own choices and establish her own independence. Years Later, filled with resentment towards Sula, Nel visits ill Sula in her deathbed. For years, her depression was encouraged by the thought that her husband was taken and now she is alone to take care of her children. She believed it was all Sulaââ¬â¢s fault and she hated her for this, but one day she confronts Sula about taking Jude away from her, and Sula asks ââ¬Å"What you mean take him away? I didnââ¬â¢t kill him, I just fucked him. If we were such good friends, how come you couldnââ¬â¢t get over it? â⬠Nel starts to think of the idea of it not being Sulaââ¬â¢s fault, that Jude was the one who put her through the heart break of being alone. Sula dies and Nel attends her burial. There she realizes that ââ¬Å"all that time, [she] thought [she] was missing Jude,â⬠but actually, she missed her friendship with Sula (174). Their friendship was more supportive than her marriage as Sula helped bring out the ââ¬â¢meââ¬â¢ in Nel that she lost in her marriage to Jude. Her epiphany helps her to notice how Jude was the one who hurt her , and now she can move on. Toni Morrison portrays Eva Peace as a suspended woman. According to Mary Helen Washington, a suspended woman is a ââ¬Å"victim of men and of society as a whole, with few or no options. â⬠Morrison starts off Evaââ¬â¢s story with her discontented marriage to her husband, BoyBoy. BoyBoy ââ¬Å"liked womanizing best, drinking second, and abusing Eva third,â⬠(32). Eva, disappointingly, tolerates all his abuse, because of her dependency on BoyBoy. One day, when he leaves her and their three children, her dependency becomes clear. Being inconsiderate of his familyââ¬â¢s welfare, he leaves as his worst affliction to his wife. Now, abandoned with nearly no money,Eva realizes that ââ¬Å"the children needed herâ⬠and ââ¬Å"she needed money,â⬠(32). This shows her desperation and how BoyBoy belittled her as she had to beg and rely on the neighbors for basic necessities like food for her children. Her Neighbors ââ¬Å"were very willing to help, but Eva felt she would soon run her welcome outâ⬠and the fact that she had to continue begging, knowing she had ask for enough, embarrassed her. Eva struggles to raise them on her own and one day her son, Plum, stopps having his bowel movements. When all the stress and pressure gets to her, ââ¬Å"Eva squatted there wonderingâ⬠¦ what was she doing down on her haunchesâ⬠¦ She shook her head as though to juggle her brains around, then said aloud, ââ¬ËUh uh. Nooo,ââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬ (34). Eva leaves her children with her neighbor for more than a year and comes back with one leg, losing the other for money to care for her children. If BoyBoy had never abused or had left her, she would have never been a victim and never would have had to sacrifice her pride and her leg. This proves sheââ¬â¢s a suspended woman because BoyBoyââ¬â¢s abuse and abandonment left her with the only option to leave her children and sell her leg, because as a black woman in their society, she had very few options. Toni Morrison exemplifies Mary Helen Washingtonââ¬â¢s definitions in Nel, Sula, and Eva through out Sula, using their experiences and personalities. Sulaââ¬â¢s independence, Nelââ¬â¢s epiphany, and Evaââ¬â¢s abuse all characterize them into their type of African American female character, making Sula a Liberated Woman, Nel an Emergent Woman, and Eva a suspended woman.

Boy Pusit: Reaction Paper
ââ¬Å"BOY PUSITâ⬠A REACTION PAPER IN SOCIAL STUDIES II SUBMITTED TO: MARIO DE LOS REYES SUBMITTED BY: JOHN PHILIP L. MALICDAN I. INTRODUCTION In Masbate, the children of Sitio Paradahan can already be found by the seashore before sunrise, preparing to take home their biggest catch of the day. These children spend more time catching squid to survive, than going to school and study for their future. The money they gain from catching squids is merely enough for them to eat to survive. These particular children travel out to sea and free dive to find squid to catch. In Manila, a kilo of squid costs around P200, but in Sitio Paradahan, the squis only sell for a cheap price of P60. With the cost of nets and gasoline, there is barely enough for everyone involved in the fishing group. After a full day at sea, each child goes home with less than thirty pesos (P30) income for their hard work. But for the overworked children, this is more than enough for the day. Sandra Aguinaldo meets Ja meson and Romnick, two graduating elementary students whose dream is to finish college. But their chances of even reaching high school are slim. Their work as squid catchers has caused them to be frequently absent from school. The squid catchers are torn between studying for a better future and providing for themselves and their families. II. SUMMARY The day starts early for a group of children at a remote coastal village in Masbate, an Island province in the central Philippines. Even before dawn breaks, several children and a few adults line the seashore, busily preparing their boats and nets for a day of squid fishing.I-Witness' Sandra Aguinaldo meets three boys ââ¬â Jameson, Estoy, and Jason ââ¬â who at a very young age were taught by their fathers to dive for squids. The residents largely depend on the sea to make a living. There are no concrete roads, water comes from deep wells, and there is no electricity. Everyday, they set out to sea. A boatââ¬â¢s crew is comprise d mostly of children. The adult stays in the boat while the children do the diving. The kids wear improvised goggles and fins made of wood that are fastened to their feet by strips of rubber.Diving in with the children, reporter Sandra Aguinaldo experiences just how exhausting the job is. The kids lure the squids into the nets by making noise hitting the waterââ¬â¢s surface hard with their arms or getting rocks underwater and throwing them hard at the waterââ¬â¢s surface. They then dive as the net closes in to secure the squids that were trapped in the net. Children are considered important in these diving operations because they work fast and donââ¬â¢t tire easily. In a day, they make an average of 20 dives. Most of the time however, they catch just a few not even enough to shoulder their families expenses in a day. The children say they still have time to go to their classes, walking for hours through tall grasses along hilly landscapes to reach school. Their elementary sc hool teacher, Melchor Rojas, though, says most squid catchers report to school only once or twice each week. Squid fishing takes up the time and when harvest or planting season, there are the teacher reports even fewer students.Of the few squid divers who are his students, Rojas expects less than half would be able to pursue higher education. The kids parents themselves seem resigned to the fact that they would never be able to send their children to school. For these children, education remains uncertain, but they maintain high hopes. Given a choice, they prefer to attend school in order to finish their education rather than spend their time at work. Every summer, the number of child squid catchers rises because they are also saving for the coming school year. III. REACTION I for one, feel lucky that I am not in their position.I pity them because they are already working at a very young age just to survive; they also have to frequently absent themselves just to catch more squid for their needs. Although they are like this, I idolize them for being so industrial and hardworking. I think they deserve better livelihood than their current situation. IV. CONCLUSION/LESSON The lesson learned here is simple. Be humble in working for the sake of you and your family. We must also be contented for what we have because God himself will guide us to a better future if we remain faithful and pray.

Creating Shared Value by Mark R Kramer Article Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Creating Shared Value by Mark R Kramer - Article Example The industries and large business corporations of the present day are highly responsible for various environmental, social and economic problems. In other words, it is stated that there is a siege of the capitalist system. However, there is an inherent requirement for the change in existing paradigm for CSR. Traditionally, the organizations believed that creating the social values would hamper the economic success. The author has demonstrated in this article the concept of ââ¬ËShared Valuesââ¬â¢ that would help the organization in building both economic and social values without affecting the economic success. The article will be judged based on certain criteria including creativity, adherence to the topic, tendency to influence the readers and reliability (Porter and Kramer 62-77). The article ââ¬Å"Creating Shared Valueâ⬠mainly focuses on the business establishments for regaining the trusts in the current era of crisis. In the article, the authors have asserted, ââ¬Å"The capitalist system is under siegeâ⬠; ââ¬Å"learning how to create shared value is our best chance to legitimize business againâ⬠(Porter and Kramer 64). However, the article aims at transforming the social problems related to the organization into opportunities for business and thus contributes to solving the social challenges along with increased profitability for the organization at the same time. Moreover, Porter and Kramer have also asserted in the article that, ââ¬Å"Creating Shared Values can give rise to the next major transformation of business thinkingâ⬠, ââ¬Å"drive the next wave of innovation and productivity growth in the global economyâ⬠and ââ¬Å"reshape capitalism and its relationship to societyâ⬠(Porter and Kramer 64). However, these are t he most tempting propositions made by the authors that have created enormous attention among the business community, educators, and the management practitioners.

Business Ethics Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words - 28
Business Ethics - Essay Example So letââ¬â¢s get done with it and legalize it! The violence that resulted in the prohibition of drugs is not new. It is usually the case when something is banned. The same was the case when alcohol was still prohibited. The more you ban it, the more people will want it! When alcohol was legalized, violence associated with alcohol consumption become virtually non-existent. Violence becomes a natural consequence of a prohibitive policy because it creates black markets where the law cannot supervise where shady characters make money from it. Instead of spending too much money stopping it which government cannot do, government can instead tax it! Legalizing drugs actually makes sense. Cato Institute reported in its study in April this year that policies that prohibit the use of drugs is usually ââ¬Å"based on speculation and fear mongering rather than empirical evidence on the effects of more lenient drug policiesâ⬠(Szalavitz). The fear that legalizing illicit drugs will only exacerbate the drug problem did not actually happen such as in the case of Portugal and it is just all in the mind. Portugal in fact ââ¬Å"had the lowest rate of lifetime drug use in people over 15 in the E.Uâ⬠(Slavis). So letââ¬â¢s legalize drugs and benefit from it. Legalize drugs if you want a country of drug addicts. Legalize it and this country will be reduced to drug dependents who cannot even think straight. It creates dependency and addiction that is not only unhealthy but also kills. Substances such as shabu or Methamphetamine literally ââ¬Å"friesâ⬠the mind that it deteriorates cognitive thinking. Other drugs that hav also the same destructive effect on the mind and body that they are too long to mention. The trouble with drugs is that it is not only unhealthy to the body, but to the society as well. Due to their addiction and unhealthy state of mind and body, drug dependents no longer are productive or have minimal
